Deck mold viewed from inside the boat.
Cross section showing mold, inner layer of glass, and Airlite foam. A fillet still needs to be layed in where the outer surface of the foam meets the deck.
A flattering picture of me dressed for grinding after the interior mold stations and luan sheathing have been removed. Two layers of 17 oz. biaxial tape were then laid around the perimeter of the interior of the new deck, where it met the orignal deck, and at all bulkhead intersections.
Close-up of the tapered 6" recess milled into the exsisting deck to recieve 4 overlapping layer of 34 oz. triaxial glass that will encase the 5/8" Airlite foam core.
