Because of their structural superiority, I prefer to vacuum bag parts where it is appropriate and feasible to do as a one man operation (it is amazing how large and complex a bag you can pull with a little forethought).

Toward this end, I have assembled two vacuum systems-- one built around a pneumatic venturi pump (left), and the other around a 110v Gast pump (right). Both are mounted on 2.5 gal reservoir tanks (A), and fitted with a vacuum switch (B) and check valve (C) to lessen run time on the pumps. The vacuum switch is wired directly to the motor on the Gast pump, and triggers a solenoid valve on the venturi system (D).
